USING ESSENTIAL OILS EVERY DAY!

Ambient Diffusion
Diffusers disperse essential oils into the air with a cool air stream or gentle warmth. They are ideal for to cleanse and refresh the air, and to create a mood-setting, fragrant atmosphere. Follow manufacturers instructions.

Full-body Massage / Area Massage
Massage is considered by many to be one of the best ways to experience aromatherapy due to the combined benefits of essential oils and touch. Massage soothes tired muscles, relieves physical tension, and in turn, eases mental stress. It's easy to make your own therapeutic, aromatherapy massage oil using Oshadhi singles or synergy blends. Simply add 12 drops of essential oil into 1 ounce of organic Oshadhi carrier oil such as sweet almond or grapeseed. This makes a 2% dilution. Sensitive skin may require a lower amount, such as 6 drops in 1 ounce, or less, if necessary.

Bath
A bathcombines the restorative effects of both water and essential oils in a most pleasurable way. They are perfect to soothe tired muscles, pamper the skin, and promote emotional balance. Use 8-10 drops to a full tub of water. It is best to add the essential oils after you have immersed yourself, so you receive the full benefits of the oils as they begin to diffuse in the warm water.

Direct Inhalation
Put 3 drops of essential oil on a tissue and inhale the aroma through your nose. Pause, inhale again, and repeat. (Avoid touch the tissue to your nose.)

Strong Application / Regular Application
Certain situations require a strong dilution (10%) that is used for a brief period of time, on a small area. Others require a regular strength application (2%). Experiment with the strength and adjust, if necessary, to avoid skin irritation. The essential oils can be diluted in a carrier oil, or other medium such as aloe vera gel or witch hazel distillate. Strong application: 10 drops of essential oil in 1 teaspoon of carrier. Regular application: 2 drops of essential oil in 1 teaspoon of carrier.

Chest Rub
The old-fashioned chest rub is as beneficial today as it has been for decades, and many of the Oshadhi singles oils and synergies are helpful to open up deep breathing. Mix 10-20 drops of essential oil in 1 ounce of carrier oil and apply to upper chest and upper back.

Shower
After your shower, put 3-5 drops of essential oil in your hands and rub them together. While your skin is till damp from the shower, quickly and evenly spread the oil over your arms, legs, and torso. Foot Bath
A foot bath is perfect to soothe tired feet or to use when you do not have time for a full bath. Mix 2-4 drops of essential oil in a tub of water. Adjust the temperature of the water to suit your needs: cool water invigorates and energizes, warm water sedates and relaxes. Gently massage your feet while immersed. Soak for 10 minutes. Pat dry.

Compress
A compress is a clean, damp, folded cloth that has been infused with essential oils and then applied to the skin. It uses either warm or cool water, depending on its purpose. Fill a basin with water and add 2-5 drops of essential oil. Stir briskly, lay in the cloth, wring, and apply to area.

Sauna
Put 1 drop or more of essential oil on the hot rocks in the sauna room or mix 5 drops of essential oil in one cup of water and pour over the rocks.

Perfume
A personal perfume is an alluring way to express yourself. Rose, Jasmine, Sandalwood, and Neroli are perfume favorites. Mix 10-20 drops of essential oil in 1 tablespoon of jojoba oil. Apply to one or more of the pulse points´┐Żbehind the ears, underside of the wrist, inner elbow, behind the knees, and on the backs of the ankles.

Meditation
Aromatics have been used for thousands of years for meditation and spiritual focus. Oshadhi has several oils well suited for this purpose, such as Frankincense, Patchouli, Sandalwood, and Myrrh. Diffuse in the area or put a drop on a tissue and inhale the aroma prior to meditating

Add to Cosmetics
Essential oils can be added to pre-made, fragrance-free products. Use 10-12 drops per 2 ounces of moisturizer; 20-30 drops per 8 ounces of lotion; 20 drops per 8 ounces of shampoo; and 20-30 drops per 8 ounces of conditioner.

Misting
Misting is a convenient way to impart the enticing aroma of essential oils in the room or on your skin. Fill an 8-ounce mister bottle with water. Add 20-30 drops of essential oils. Shake vigorously each time before misting.

Anointing
Anointing is an ancient, spiritual practice used to bless, show recognition, offer protection, and to support the subtle energetic body. Anointing literally means, "to touch with oil." Use 4 drops of essential oil mixed in 1 teaspoon of jojoba or olive oil. Touch with intention.
